What is green cleaning?
Green cleaning means using cleaning products that are consciously made of safe ingredients and used in safe ways so as to not harm people, animals or the environment.
Why is green cleaning important?
Cleaning is a widespread activity that uses huge quantities of products which are sent right down the drain and into the water system and surrounding environment. These products may contain ammonia, phosphorus, and other harsh unregulated chemicals which can have a devastating impact on the environment. And common household products such as certain air fresheners, aerosols and sprays have been shown to negatively affect air quality, which is probably the opposite of what you wanted them to do.
What is the Green Cleaning Association?
Our association represents cleaning companies, environmentally conscious business owners, and customers who share one common goal: support green cleaning, reduce humanity’s impact on the environment and leave the planet in better shape for the next generation. Our community encourages these three types of individuals to come together and build a supportive network that focuses on reducing the harmful effects of cleaning products on the environment.
